The Senior School at Ringwood Secondary College consists of Years 11 and 12. Students are supported by their classroom teachers along with four Coordinators, a Senior Sub-School Leader, and a VCAL/VET Coordinator.
Regular level assemblies for Year 11 and 12 students allow the opportunity for presentations and guest speakers on a range of issues, along with student led assemblies on a regular basis.
Year 11 and 12 students have their own study centre. Students undertake study skills workshops and presentations throughout their time in Senior School. This complements the revision lectures and practice exams for Year 12 students.
Examinations form part of the assessment for all year levels. Year 11 examinations are held at the end of Semester 1 and Semester 2. Year 12 students complete examinations as determined by the VCAA guidelines.
Our aim is to prepare students for VCE and to support them throughout their VCE, VET or VCAL program, culminating in a successful Year 12.
We, the students at Ringwood Secondary College, acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation as the traditional custodians of the land we are meeting on today.
We appreciate the waterways, mountains, skies, plants and animals from this land and thank our ancestors for their ceremonies of story-telling, music, dance and celebration.
We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging and promise to learn to live in a community that is part of the oldest living culture on Earth and move forwards together to a place of equity, justice and partnership.
We recognise that First Nations sovereignty was never ceded. This was and always will be Aboriginal Land.
