Transition to Year 7

Primary schools are responsible for managing the application process in the first instance and will distribute forms for parents to complete.

 If you would like your son or daughter to attend Ringwood Secondary College, it is important to list the college as your first preference.

Positions are allocated according to guidelines issued by the Eastern Metropolitan Region. Students who meet either of the following criteria will have automatic entry to the college:

• students who reside in our local neighbourhood area;

• students who have a sibling claim (where the sibling will continue to be enrolled at the college in the following year and who reside permanently with their sibling).

For students who do not meet either of these categories, families  will need to complete a ‘Consideration for Year 7 entry’ form. The following enrolment criteria are applied when determining places in this category:

• Curriculum grounds
• Proximity to the college
• Compassionate grounds

Tours for prospective students will take place regularly in Term 1 and early Term 2.
