Student Leadership Program

At Ringwood Secondary College, we foster a culture that encourages and promotes young people to discover their leadership potential and develop the skills to become the change they want to see in the broader community.

Student leaders in Year 7 – 10 are given the opportunity to work across a variety of different aspects of school life, such as Music, Sport, Performing Arts, Wellbeing and Philanthropy to discover the portfolios that they are most passionate about. In Year 11 and 12, students can serve as Prefects in individual portfolios that include Philanthropy, Sport, Music, Wellbeing, Inclusion, and Performing Arts.

From Years 7-11, students may also serve as House Captains, responsible for fostering an inclusive community culture across the four College Houses, before applying to become whole House Prefects in Year 12.
