Students are encouraged to participate widely and to achieve personal excellence in co-curricular pursuits. A large co-curricular program focusing upon sporting, social and cultural pursuits caters for the wide variety of interests and skills amongst the students at the College.

Performing Arts
Performing Arts at Ringwood Secondary College has been thriving for decades and continues to go from strength to strength today. The school has a proud tradition of annual productions and is committed to staging a full scale, large chorus musical in August each year.

Sports
Ringwood has a proud tradition in sport and strong participation by students in the College sports program. The College competes in the School Sport Victoria competitions within the Maroondah Division, Eastern Region and State level sports.

Other Programs

Student Representative Council (SRC)

There is a strong Student Representative Council open to any interested student who wants to commit their time on a regular basis. It is run by Year 10 & 11 students and various project groups are established each year based on student recommendations and wants.

 

Youth In Philanthropy Program

Year 10 students at Ringwood Secondary College have, for the past five years, been involved in the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation’s Youth in Philanthropy program. The program immerses students in the world of philanthropy, allowing them an allocation of real funds to distribute to charities that have requested funds for programs to benefit the most vulnerable in the community. The process encourages great debate and careful consideration of a number of factors, resulting in the broadening of student perspectives.
