MacBook Program

The student device program at Ringwood Secondary College plays a critical role in ensuring that our students have the right access to technology to meet their learning needs. Our device program is reviewed annually to ensure the recommended devices meet the requirements of today’s learning environment.
The College works with a recommended supplier to purchase hardware the allows ease of access and initial imaging of software. Maintenance, repairs and software updates on those devices can be managed by students, parents, carers directly with our IT Services Team.

Device Information
The JB BYOD portal is up and running. In keeping with department guidelines and for ease of access to support the College recommends using JB HI-FI, they simply offer the convenience of arranging delivery to the College for setting up. We also do not insist on any specific accessories.
We recommend accessories that protect the device: a bag, a case, and AppleCare.
If parents wish to purchase the device from another supplier, the device needs to be dropped to the College in the library foyer, on the 14th, 15th or 16th January 2026, between 9 am and 12 pm.
Please note: Devices will be distributed to students when they return to school in 2026.
Completion of JB BYOD options, no later than Wednesday 3rd December 2025.
